Emerging - Work in Progress 04

Work In Progress. This sculpture is a little different from my other pieces. Typically I trim away all the extra material around the body. But for this one, the extra metal around the body gave this great effect of the body "emerging" out of the steel. Though not in my original concept, this piece has a somewhat gothic feel to it.

The sculpture is cold forged out of 22 gauge sheet steel. No mold are used. Tools are hammers, anvil, railroad spike.
